Description
The standard Dremel Rotary Tool or the larger Dremel Ultra-Saw), “Surface Prep Wheel” refers to two very different accessories.
FEATURES
1. For Dremel Rotary Tools (EZ Lock Finishing Buffs)
If you are using a standard handheld Dremel, “Surface Prep” usually refers to the 511S or 512S Abrasive Buffs. These look like small, dense Scotch-Brite pads.
- Materials: Ideal for metal, wood, plastic, and glass.
- Best Use: Removing light rust, paint, and tarnish from delicate or detailed items (like door hardware, car trim, or jewelry).
- The “Prep” Factor: Because they are flexible, they conform to curves and contours without flat-spotting the material.
- Grits Available: * 180 Grit (Coarse/Medium): Best for initial paint/rust removal.
- 280/320 Grit (Fine): Best for final surface smoothing before polish or paint.
- Mounting: Uses the EZ402 SpeedClic mandrel (no tools needed; pull, twist, and click).
